Romance for two: Sweethearts' night out
Hearts, flowers, romance. These are all traditional images of Valentine's Day. For two people, the day was finished off with an evening of magic provided by the Images music group.
Raffle tickets were sold on a dinner for two at Bob's Sirloin and a chauffeured limousine for the night. The tickets were one dollar each, and the drawing was held on Februay 11th during halftime of the home basketball game against Maur Hill.
"The evening went really fast, but it was fun and I really enjoyed it," Jolene Henry, fr., said, who won the raffle and was accompained by Leon Parker, fr.
The Images also participated in a very successful Christmas concert. Dressed in 50's style poodle skirts and white T-shirts, the Images sang their way into the hearts of the audience. The spirited renditions and imaginative choreography livened the performance and allowed their musical abilities to shine.
"The concert took a lot of work and seven o'clock morning practices, but it was worth it," Stephanie Niehues, fr., said.
The group also traveled to Concordia for the Show Choir Festival and performed The Little Mermaid theme song "Under the Sea," along with other songs.
