Imagination
The Images attempted several different styles of music this year, including Broadway songs and contemporary hits. They also performed more than they had in past years. They brought cheer to members of the Highway patrol when they gave a show at Christmas time. In February, they performed for the KAY club's unit conference as it was held at Nemaha Valley. During a short tour in April, they sang their songs as various schools in Nebraska.
"I liked going on tour," Paul Murphy, so., said.
"I just wished it could have last a little longer. But there's always next year."
In an effort to polish their technique, the group spent a day at Cloud Community College, where they were critiqued. Overall, the critics found their performance-their songs and their choreography-to be very noteworthy. Many members of the group felt that being critiqued helped the group, as they learned what they were doing right and what could be improved.
"I like being in Images," Johnny Eppich, so, said. "We can do more than a regular choir."
The Images, in fact, joined the choir at the spring concert, where the two groups sang "Love Can Build a Bridge" together.
The group worked hard all year to polish their performances, and in the end, serveral said they felt a sense of accomplishment over what they had done, and they continued their long-standing tradition of excellence in music.
