Hitting the Note

Coming to every home game shows true dedication. That is exactly what the Nemaha Valley Band is – dedicated! Their dedication was shown when a flute and clarinet quartet went to League, two trumpet solos performed by Jennifer, sr., and Michael, soph. at Regionals, and Jennifer qualified for State. They also spent hours preparing for both the Christmas and Spring Concerts.

During the year the Vocal and Choir students prepare for the same two concerts that the band performs in. The Vocal and Choir groups usually sing about four songs in each concert. This year they went to League Music, Regional Music, and Sara, sr., went to State for a vocal solo.

Mr. Colgrove is the conductor of the NV Band as well as Vocal and Choir. He offers assistance to any individuals who wish extra help in a solo or any other piece of music.
