Singing Out

Co-ed choir was a new task taken on by Mrs. Steinlage and her vocal group. Girls' glee and boys' choir was combined to make one singing group. The annual Christmas concert was held and the vocal class performed the traditional songs.
For a few select students, the highlight of the year was going to Kansas City to perform in front of over 500 people. They attended a clinic to rehearse several songs that the combined vocal groups were to perform that night. Both experience and new friendships were gained on the vocal field trip.
The group also attended another clinic in Hiawatha. This clinic was to prepare for a group contest in Atchison.
"I enjoyed both clinics because I learned a lot from other clinicians and got many ideas to bring home," Lisa Carlson, soph., said.
