The Fall Melodrama
"No Sooner Won Than Wed"
The Spring Play
"Cheaper By The Dozen"
The year 1981-82 was one of consistent hard work and much glory for the drama department. The year began in October with the presentation of "No Sooner Won Than Wed," a melodrama featuring four drama students, two faculty members, and one teacher's wife. Deanne and Kent, two seniors directed the show. Then came our biggest success of the year, "The Miracle Worker." The first serious drama performed at N.V. in two years was acclaimed throughout Seneca, mainly because of a very talented and devoted cast. The annual all-school play was a comedy entitled "Cheaper By The Dozen." It was presented in early April to an enthusiastic crowd, of students, parents, and friends. Eighteen students were cast in the story of a father not able to understand the ideas of his twelve children. 1981-92 is now history. We in the drama department are blessed with memories of it we will never forget.
