"Home At Last!" Connie.
"What did you say was in that drink?" Anna and Eric.

Snow and feet were two of the new main ingredients needed this year for the Nemaha Valley Drama Department. In early November the NV drama class, consisting of seven students, produced the three-act Neil Simon comedy classic, "Barefoot in the Park." The play called for only six characters, but it also enveloped in an elaborate set and sophisticated technical effects.

"Barefoot in the Park" could easily be referred to as one of the enormous successes of the drama department over the last four years. The audience left the NV commons impressed with a leading male and leading female who could learn over thirty pages of dialogue apiece, and a cast and crew who could bring such laughter into their hearts in a totally professional manner.

Deb, the drama teacher, was the director of the play with Lisa and Connie being assistant directors and stage managers. The cast included Anna as Corrie Bratter, Dan as Paul Bratter, Clarissa as Ethel Banks, Eric as Victor Velasco, Jolene as the telephone woman, and Deann as the delivery woman.
