" Where were you on the night of January 16th?", was a common line in the spring play, The Night of January 16th, a murder trial was the subject of this drama/ comedy. It took a new twist when the jury was selected from the audience. This jury determined the outcome of the play by returning a guilty or not guilty verdict.
The cast was very young, only two seniors with speaking parts, with the leads going to a freshman and a sophomore. The majority, however, were juniors.
The play ran two nights consecutively with the same verdict, "not guilty." However, the performances were different in that the first night the cast was a little shaky and showed their inexperience. The second night, with the larger crowd, proved to be the best performance, with the actors performing as season veterans.
The play was generally well liked by most of the spectators that saw the program. In the future, it looks like there will be an experienced cast to perform the next play.
