Disgust shows on the face of Miss Gwynne (Kathleen, sr.) as she confronts Fritz, the gardner, (T.J., fr.)
The visit of Helen's (Monica, sr.) brother, Charlie (Brent, jr.) began the suspicion that murders may have been committed.

How did I get myself into this? This may have been the last minute thought of an actor or actress as the curtain went up. Fortunately, these possible thoughts were not evident in the performance of the comedy, "Merry Murders at Montmarie."

"I had a feeling od accomplishment when it was over. I enjoyed it because I like to make people laugh," said Jeff, jr.

The play, directed by Cathy, was performed three nights, November 15-17. Thursday was student discount night and began at 7:00 p.m. Friday's performance was the dinner theatre. Before the curtain went up, the audience enjoyed a smoked pork chop dinner that was catered by Alice Koch. Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. was the final performance.

The setting was an all girls' school in the mountains of Switzerland. Mystery surround the school as characters began to disappear. The owner of the school believed they were being murdered, but only the girls understood what was happening. The victims were the girls' parents, and they were holding them captive to make them listen to their needs. Through a number of misunderstandings and discoveries, the hilarious plot was unraveled scene by scene.

With an enthusiastic effort from the cast and crew, the performance ran smoothly all three nights.

"Being in the play was fun and it was enjoyable to entertain all those people," said Ellem, sr.
