Linus Hoople (Paul, soph.) discusses his plans for Lilliput with his teddy bear and his secretary, Miss Knickerbocker (Katherine, sr.)
"Small Wonder" was a two act play about a small island called Lilliput. On the brink of economic ruin, their Queen Oona (Kelli) was determined to save her people. She attempted to enlist the help of Fame Films, a famous and successful American movie studio under the direction of Linus Hoople (Paul), but an error placed Lilliput in the hangs of Game Films, a penniless organization run by Hazel Matthews (Danel) and Larry Kirkwood (Matt).
That wasn't all. A family of displaced hillbillies (Scott, Sara, and Jessica), a shipwreched Elvis-like rock star (Kyle) and a pair of clueless actors (Gabrielle and Layne) also made appearances in the play.
"I like to act, so being in the play was a lot of fun," Chad, fr., said.
Having a large cast enabled more students to take part in the production. Many participants enjoyed "Small Wonder" because while none of the roles were big, they didn't have to settle for a tiny part.
"All I did in the play was run across the stage and scream 'Elvis'!" Mark, fr., said.
"I hope there will be a play next year," Tammy, sr., said. "I like being in the play, but it will be nice to just be a able to watch the play and not have to worry about performing."
