Kevin, sr., Jessica, jr., and Buddy, sr., discuss wedding plans in Charlie's (Buddy) apartment. Kevin was Charlie's roommate and Jessica was Charlie's absent-minded mother.
Being the "dead" guy in the closet, Justin, soph., keeps a straight face even while the audience is laughing. Later in the play, it was learned that he wasn't dead, just in a very deep sleep.

What does it take to put on a successful play? Hard working actors, dedicated directors, and lots of motivation. If you saw the twisted comedy, you would have seen how much dedication the cast, crew, and directors put into the play. "Suitable for Hanging" proved they have what it takes to put on a successful performance.

The directors for "Suitable for Hanging" were Stan and Cindy. They volunteered their time to help make the play a success. They had a big job to do, maybe even bigger than the actors and actresses themselves. They first had to pick out a play to do and then hold the auditions. When the auditions were over, they had to pick the cast. They built the set, which helps to set the mood for the play. They also had to direct the cast and crew.

"Stan and Cindy did a lot to help us out and not make us as nervous. They were really great to work with and helped make it a great play," Ross, sr., said.

The cast and crew learned a lot about dedication, also. Lines had to be learned, and their characterizations had to be perfected. The directors did exercises before each practice to help loosen everyone up. They played games and did voice exercises. There were not only fun, but helped the cast to relate to each other. The cast members also had to help with the set, such as moving furniture between scenes, finding different objects to make the room appear to be a bachelor's apartment, and find their costumes.

"the fact that the play itself was humorous made it a lot easier to get into my character and make people laugh," Matt, jr., said.

Included in the cast were five seniors. Four had been involved with the play four years and one was in it three years, whether they were part of the play or just helping on the crew. This dedication helps to make an enjoyable performance each year.
