At the beginning of September in the year 2000, a new set of cast members could be found up at the high school beginning the long journey of practicing for the upcoming school play. For a month and a half, the cast members would spend long, overbearing hours learning their lines and the blocking of the play. Play directors, Stan and Cindy, had chosen to do the play "The Creature Creeps," a play deriving from the popular movie "Young Frankenstein." The play contained a great deal of special effects, so along with the cast members, the crew also had to work hard to get the timing of lighting, noises, and curtain calls all perfect. With a week to go, and everything still not quite right, the members of the play began to get extremely stressed and worried.
"When the last week of practice approached and we still weren't as easy with the play as we should have been, I got really scared thwart we wouldn't get it together. We worked hard the last week and I felt like we all did a wonderful job," Stacy, jr.
However, during that last week, the members worked to their fullest extent, coming in early in the mornings and staying late at night to ensure that the play was everything it could be.
The day before the dinner theatre, the cast and crew were able to perform for the junior high students, one last practice before the big night. With only a few minor mistakes, the members of the play were confident that everything would turn out great for the dinner theatre and anyone who attended it the next night could tell you that it really did.
After the play was completely finished, the drama for some of the cast members was over, but for the others involved in Forensics, it was just starting.
