If you ask any drama or forensics member, they would tell you that being in the spotlight may be fun, but it isn't always easy. A lot was expected from the talented individuals in both organizations, and they all lived up to these expectations.
Instead of a fall production, the school play was held in April, bringing new excitement in this unique atmosphere. The title of the play was "Here Comes the Judge," and it took place in a courtroom where individuals were being held hostage.
Many audience members reported that the play was hilarious and well done. Directors Stan and Cindy were also pleased with the outcome and tears were as they said goodbye to the senior cast members.
Forensics was already underway as the school play was being put on. There were 27 forensics members who qualified for stage, and 4 in state champs. The only forensics teammate to break to finals was sophomore Phil, who received second in humorous solo.
"It was disappointing having a lot of people qualify but not having very many people break into semi finals. However, we were all proud of what we had accomplished and for some us, knowing that there is always next year." Rhonda, jr., said.
Both the drama and forensics organizations had a great year, measuring their successes not only by medals or rave reviews, but by the pride each member had for accomplishing their own personal goals.
