Imagine running over small hills, dirt, and rocks. Now, imagine doing all that with blisters piercing your feet.

This is what the season held for the cross country team. An otherwise successful year, was plagued by injuries to several runners over the season. The boys team was able to overcome the aches and pains to take 7th at State, while the girls put on a gallant effort to take 4th at Regionals. The cross country team was led by veteran coach, Jon Thomals, and eight seniors.

"We attained many of the goals we had set, but not all. This season had many high points, but also some disappointments," Jon Thomas, coach, said about the season.

Work, dedication, and effort is what made the team successful. Though it may have not ended the way they wanted, they can look back and think maybe this year wasn't so bad. Maybe the team could have done better, maybe not. Either way, we will be proud of what they did. - David
