With only one starter returning to the lineup and with a key player sitting out the season, the Raiders' hopes for success seemed dim.
Even though the season didn't look as promising as last year's, the Raiders accomplished much. The first setback of the season came in the finals of the Kaw Valley Classic as the team fell to Basehor-Linwood.
The Raider then cruised through the first half of the season, dropping only one game to a tough Sabetha team. The Raiders were again set back in the finals of their tournament. This time, they fell to a hot-shooting Marysville team in the championship game of the Raider Classic. Finishing off the regular season, the Raiders captured the league title for the second year in a row.
Sub-state then arrived with the Raiders holding 15-5 record. They again moved into the finals along with Jackson Heights. The game went into overtime and with :02 showing on the clock, Matt Hundley converted the front end of a one and one to end the Raiders' season.
