The 1994 Raider basketball team had a season that had both high points and low points and low points and low points. At the close of the season, the close of the season, the Raiders' record stood at an impressive 14 wins and 7 losses.

The key to the Raiders' success seemed to be their defense. Most of the time the Raiders were able to outscore their opponent by taking away shot opportunities and by out rebounding anyone that stood in their path.

Great leadership was displayed by the large portion of seniors that made up the '94 varsity basketball team. The experience that they possessed was no doubt an advantage that paid off in the Raiders' favor.

During the course of the season, the Raiders encountered two games that went into overtime; one against ACCHS and the other against Jeff West. Determination shone through in both of these games as the Raiders conquered both of these teams to claim the overtime victories.

As the season came to a close, the Raiders entered Sub-state with only six losses. Their first Sub-state match-up was against Herington. After a wonderful display of tenacious defense and incredible offense, the Raiders pulled off the victory with a score of 83-65. The Raiders' second match-up would prove to be not so easy. After earning a loss earlier in the season from Riley County, the Raiders were determined to take them down in Sub-state, but came up short. The season ended on a loss of 63-73 to Riley County.

All year the players showed that they had the heart and determination to play Raider basketball, and with a record of 14-7, they proved to everyone that they also had the talent.
