The past boys' varsity basketball season was indeed a season to remember. It was filled with intense exciting games that displayed the Raiders' determination and talent. The accomplishments really began to stack up as the season progressed. With a 69.6 point per game average, it gave this team a place in history as the second best school average; falling shortly behind the first place average of 70.4 points.

Accomplishments not only came to the team as a whole, but they also were accredited to the individual players. Several team members set new school records or ranked among the top in a variety of different categories.

Ability was another area that this team excelled in. Backed by tremendous senior leadership, the Raiders showed off their talent on both offense and defense. They proved this making their fifth trip down to Hutchinson for the 3A State Basketball Tournament. Unfortunately, the Raiders met a very strong and determined Medicine Lodge team and were defeated first round.

Even though the basketball season may not have ended to meet everyone's satisfaction, a record of 18-6 is nothing to be ashamed of and the season will go down in history as one to be remembered.
