Unrached Goals

The Lady Raider 199-2000 year ended successfully, but just short of their goals. After finishing with a winning season of 17-5, and although they didnt make it to state, they came close to reaching their goals. The Raiders ended up with 3rd place in the Hiawatha Invitational Tournament and were beart out by St. Marys in Sub-state. One goal they were just short of, was first place in league. After beating all teams except Sabetha, Nemaha Valley ended up with second.

"I wish we could have went to state, but I had fun these past few years being a part of a winning team," Leslie Niehues, sr., said.

All of the players had the desire and passion to be successful. The dedication of the team was there. Although all their goals weren't reached this year, there is another chance next year to do even better than before.

"I'll miss not having the seniors here next year, but I think we will be able to stand up and conquer all," said Julie Calderwood, jr.

Loosing four of the seniors will hurt the team, but there are great underclassmen who will step up and begin a new season in attempt to leave none of their goals unreached.
