These exact aspirations were those of most of the returning varsity position holders from last year's team. The season climbed to peak performance in the mid-season. The St.Mary's Invitational proved to be an excellent opportunity for a first place finish. A third place trophy from the regional tourney was something for the young team to have pride in. There were no seniors among the group this year, but NV has many great years of golf ahead of it. K.C. Boeckman, Jason Brinker, John Calderwood, Ryan Honeyman, Travis Niehues, Jason Nordhus, Dustin Odum, Ryan Robke, and Jeff Runnebaum were the lettermen from this year's group. The season was filled with many surprises, not to mention tricks. Coach, Rick Hynek, had a hole-in-one on hole number nine.
