Head coach Mr. Terpening and assistant coach Mr. Gardner coached a very successful year breaking several records in girls events and placing as a team in many meets. Becky threw the discus 116 feet 3 1/2 inches and Lena ran 400 meter in 62:4, both breaking previous school records. At the Nemaha Valley Quad, the girls brought home the 1st place trophy and captured 2nd place at Royal Valley and Effingham. The girls 400 meter and 800 meter relay consisting of Lena, Misty, Dawn , and Elly attended the state track meet in Wichita, but fortunately failed to make it to finals.
