The girls took first place in all but one of their meets before regionals. At Belleville tourney, the girls took home second place. Record after record fell as the girls placed their names in the record books. Amy, fr., broke the 400 meters record for girls. Cassie, so., shattered the marks for the 3200 and 1600 meters. Misty , so., took the record for the 800 meters and finally Becky, jr., throw of 36'5" broke the previous mark. At state, the sole bright point on the boys' track team shined. Andy, jr. not only qualified for state but took sixth place in the javelin for 3A. After taking first place at the Big 7 League tourney, the girls suffered a let down as they finished third at Regionals.
