The boys only qualified one athlete for the state meet, but they did show improvement. The lack of numbers and years experience was costly for the team throughout the year. While success was sometimes limited for the boys, the girls' list of accomplishments was outstanding. Freshman standout Kim shattered school records in the discus, shot put, and javelin. Shelly was another bright spot. She broke the school record in the long jump and triple jump. As the year passed by, the girls added on to their regular season victories. Over the past several years, the team had went 22-0 in regular-season meets.
