The team as a whole was very young this year. Heather was the only senior that chose to go out for track, followed by four juniors. The rest of the team, of course, consisted of quite a few sophomores and freshmen. Many of the athletes had rewarding individual experiences throughout the year. For starters, Nikki broke her own school record in the high hurdles, lowering it to 15.03 seconds, just short of the 3A state record. Darrin and Brian both reached 12 feet in the pole vault, which was memorable for them.
