The boys' squad did exceptionally well. They started the season off placing second in the Royal Valley Quad. They went on to place first at our Nemaha Valley Invitional. A third at Belleville, a second at the Sabetha Quad, and a third at Marysville built up to three first place finishes in a row at Rossville, Jefferson County North, and Royal Valley. The boys' team placed fourth overall at the Big Seven League Meet.
The boys' team had five members qualifying for state. Their 4x800 meter relay team, consisting of Josh, Nathaniel, Shane , and Adam, placed fourth in state competition. Shane also placed third in the two mile. Brian competed in the pole vault and finished a strong sixth.
Only two girls qualified for state. Carrie competed in the 400 meter dash. Nikki did extremely well at state placing first in the 110 meter high hurdles, first in the 100 meter dash, second in the triple jump. She also broke the state record in the high hurdles at the state competition.
