Nemaha
Valley Track Team 2000 |

No limits, no boundaries, and no one to hold them back.
Nemaha Valley track was up and strong for the year. After losing only
two girls last year and many guys from the team, the freshmen were
needed to step up and continue the winning tradition of Nemaha Valley.
The league meet was tough competition for both the boys' and girls'
teams. Both the girls' and the boys' teams ended up placing 2nd in
the Big Seven League and in Regionals. "In some of the events
for this year, I thought they were tough, but overall I think our
teams did well." Roseanna, jr., said. Pole vault was
added as a new state event to the girls competition. There were also
records broken as the year went on. Although placing was hard in regionals,
both teams were successful and sent many participants to state. Overall
at state, both the boys' and girls' teams did well. The girls ended
up tying for 10th place. Next year, the Raider tradition of being
successful will continue and the reward will be great. "I was
excited to be able to go to state considering I am only a freshman,
hopefully in the future I can continue to be successful in pole vault."
