Successful! Very Successful! That's how the Lady Raider Volleyball coaches felt about the 1983 junior varsity and varsity volleyball players and their seasons. The JV won the league title for the fourth year in a row. Although the varsity had their 56 match league streak broken they won a fourth consecutive Big 7 championship.

Some of the seasons highlights included winning the NV Invitational for the second year in a row. Also the Lady Raiders won their fourth title of being Sub-State Champions and a third place finish at the 3A state tournament at Hesston. Mr. Getzlaff the head coach for six years said "This team improved more from beginning to end than any previous team I have coached."
